While rainwater provides a minimal rinse, it won't remove the stubborn, baked-on dirt and debris. Regular cleaning not only boosts energy generation but also increases the durability of the equipment. Plus, it helps expedite the return on investment, as initial savings projections are often based on the assumption of clean, new panels. So, don't underestimate the importance of keeping your solar panels clean for optimal performance and savings.

Can I just clean them myself?

When it comes to the task of cleaning solar panels, it is advisable to entrust it to experts. Cleaning solar panels located on your rooftop can be both challenging and hazardous for you. Moreover, professional solar panel cleaning services are equipped with the necessary tools and materials to effectively remove pollen or algae without inadvertently causing damage to your panels

When should I clean them?

Solar panels don't require as frequent cleaning as, for instance, your car. Nonetheless, dirt and debris may accumulate on their surface over time. To maintain their optimal performance, it's recommended to clean them approximately every two years. Although you can perform this maintenance at any time during the year, it's generally advisable to do so in March or April as the weather begins to warm up

How often should I clean my solar panels?

General consensus suggests that cleaning them approximately every six months is advisable. Nonetheless, there are situations where you might find it necessary to clean them more frequently or can extend the cleaning interval.

For instance, in area where it doesn't rain often, you might find it beneficial to schedule 2-3 cleanings per year.

Ideally, plan your cleaning sessions at the conclusion of both the winter and summer seasons, as these times tend to witness a higher accumulation of residues.
